A creative and digital agency without a ‘fixed’ name

Wheel of fortune. What is in a name?

The communication specialists of Waal aan de Maas will continue as one company together with the digital experts of Inline Digital. For their joint international customers, a new recognizable name is needed. That will be WADM, a letter combination that does not necessarily mean what you would think at first sight.

What's in a name

WADM is just an abbreviation for Waal aan de Maas, isn’t it? That’s certainly true. And yet it is much more nuanced. We work with clients to come up with creative strategies, build websites, create sales campaigns, link digital platforms, you name it. Then we sit down with people from Boston, Paris, Frankfurt, Toronto or Tokyo. To them, the term Waal on the Maas is difficult to explain. So WADM doesn’t stand for that either (anymore).

Not just an abbreviation

Then, of course, everyone wonders what WADM does mean. Just as well. Because that’s exactly the point. We said goodbye to one fixed name. There are lots of different meanings for those letters WADM. And each meaning explains in great detail how we think about creative and digital communication. WADM thus has a deeper message. We have mapped more than 50 different meanings for WADM. Each with its own insight. We’re going to reveal those one by one.

“We said goodbye to one fixed name. There are a lot of different meanings for those letters WADM.”

A playful environment

The letters WADM are a symbol. The variation in meaning is important. Our work must be varied. Focused on various customers in totally different industries. We must continually adapt ourselves to survive in that playing field. We can do this very well by working with an adaptive mix of disciplines and specialists. People working together in a playful environment. Who follow trends, challenge each other, combine resources very cleverly, innovate products and put creative concepts into practice. Then it’s best to say goodbye to one name above the door.

Silence in the hall in no time

We can give away one of the many meanings in advance, though. We use insights from neuromarketing to improve customer communication. Online and offline, internal and external. It is much needed. There are so many companies that have a great story to tell, but they don’t do it. They don’t stand out, but say the things that their competitors are also promoting. Eternal sin. Because with the right strategy and creative translation, they can easily take the stage. And with an ironclad message, they get the room quiet in no time. That’s one example of what WADM stands for: Win Attention, Drop Microphone.
