Who needs a sixpack?

‘Beer? Why beer? Doesn’t wine fit better with your high-end sophisticated strategic approach?’ We can hear you asking. Yes. Gosh. Wine is also delicious. And we’re always up for a fresh fruit juice too. But we made a choice for beer for several important reasons. One. We simply like beer. Two. We met the guys from Vet Lazy and then you don’t even think about talking about wine. Three. We were looking for a tasty gadget to give our ‘What’s in a name’ campaign (you can read all about it – here) a bit more body. Four beer. ‘White double you’, ‘Awesome brew’, ‘Daring fruity’ and ‘Mad spiced’ is the perfect fourpack (who needs a sixpack?).

So we dove into it. Literally. Because urban brewery Vet Lazy has established its specialty beer brewery in the iconic Tropicana in Rotterdam. The former subtropical swimming paradise on the Maasboulevard that didn’t make the news with beer back then. But now it does. A paradise for beer lovers. Or should we say: beer loverth, with a wet ‘th’. We dove into the Rotterdam barley-wheat-hop culture of Vet Lazy with the entire agency and quickly discovered that specialty beer gets an extra meaning here. A sustainable meaning. The brewery works with a sustainable production system with rainwater filtration and reuse of energy and water. But that circular mindset of the ‘Fat Lazy’ guys has also ensured that they choose their ingredients responsibly and process their waste products smartly. Especially in collaboration with parties from the same Maas city: including Rotterzwam, Heilige Boontjes, Outlander materials, Bluecity010, GroenCollect, Spireaux and Kusala. WADM has a soft spot for that and in no time four new beers were born.
