NeKo Ship Supply, based in Rotterdam and Algeciras, is a leading provider of maritime services to shipowners, ship managers and caterers. NeKo serves the needs of merchant ships, cruise ships, megayachts and offshore platforms. Wherever and whenever. The company operates large-scale with expertise. These years of experience in maritime services should be reflected in the new website.
Challenge
During the on-site Discovery session at WADM, several insights from NeKo were brought out. NeKo needed to be a modern, solid website filled with strong text. A more professional look that includes employees. WADM provided full photography of all employees, locations and daily operations, provided copywriting and content management. Everything is geared toward giving visitors a reliable feeling with this Rotterdam-based maritime supplier.
Solution
WADM helped NeKo develop its new website. We started from scratch. First, using insights from Google’s search volume, determined an optimal site structure and content focus. With design we also had a challenge, summary offline corporate identity was the only visual ingredient. Therefore, new forms were distilled from NeKo logo, forms that serve as a starting point for the “sharp” block design. Then coded with fastest HTML, Java and CCS techniques. The result: a website, which fits the current zeitgeist and is a worthy calling card for Neko.
Impact
A total realization for Neko of a website that reflects the professionalism, reliability and large scale of the organization.
