New website IFS Ultimo. Bolder. Completely new UX experience

Project
Ultimo’s website had been around for over 6 years. And a lot has happened during that period. The strong provider of cloud EAM software (Enterprise Asset Management) saw its reputation grow, the number of clients increase, and was also acquired by Swedish IFS in 2022. With a market where competition isn’t standing still, a target audience that’s becoming more demanding, and a message that needed to be positioned more sharply due to all the changes, it was time to renew the website as well. With new performance, new strategic choices in functionality, and fresh content that ensure online performance befitting the global player IFS Ultimo in all dimensions.
Challenge
The new website had to focus on IFS Ultimo’s growth potential in all aspects. An even more pronounced story: a combination of an impactful narrative and a sleek visual appearance. An approach to the sales funnel through a smarter role of the website. The USA and Scandinavia are becoming even more important, and the website needs to respond to that as well. And finally, when it comes to the target audience, more focus should be on C-level and complete DMUs. Certainly not just on the end-user. This calls for a bolder appearance, a more direct story, and a completely new UX experience. On one hand, graphs and infographics that provide data-driven insights into the software’s performance. With links to whitepapers for in-depth analyses. Sleek and structured design with interactive elements so users can explore the information at their own pace. On the other hand, use of testimonials and case studies to create an emotional connection with website visitors. With stories about how the software has helped solve real problems. Warm, people-oriented, more welcoming, and with animated images or virtual tours. With surprising or new elements while scrolling.

Solution
WADM built the new IFS Ultimo website on two indispensable pillars: strong strategic structure with matching content and top-notch technical back- and front-end. By applying Whole Brain® Thinking, the new website meets all strategic and content requirements. By executing the development with Statamic CMS, the website meets both all technical requirements and the high-level UX desires. Technically, strategically, content-wise, and visually optimized. Equipped with micro-animations, GSAP scroll effects, various video animations of the software, crystal-clear product pages, 6 languages (including Swedish of course), particularly user-friendly navigation, recognizable function roles for the target groups (with handy timelines), and extensive resources page with fine filtering. To name just a few.

Impact
IFS Ultimo has – again with the help of WADM – reinvented itself (online). The impact is an amazingly positive reception in the industry. And not to forget an ecstatically proud feeling among all IFS Ultimo employees. An important part of the 7,000 IFS employees worldwide now also knows why Ultimo was on the wish list back then.
